The Grand Twitterponies Gala

Last night I dreamed that I received an invitation to a swanky Twitterponies gala from @deniseunicorn. I’m not sure /where/ it was, but the invitation came with my room key to the hotel and doubled as a credit card that would pay for everything.

We arrived at the hotel earlier than most, so after stopping by Denise’s room to thank her we went out to eat at a local restaurant that was apparently so famous we knew about it. Our waiter was polite, took our drink order, and recommended an appetizer they were apparently known for. “Chili feet”. On cute, the table next to us received theirs. It was a large shortbread biscuit-like mass scuplted in the shape of a foot with an attached leg. It was about two feet high. Each toe of the foot was a strip of bread that had been hollowed out and filled with chili and cheese. I suspect the inside of the leg was chili and cheese too.

Our waiter disappeared after this. @LadyMoonglo and I talked about stuff for a while then realized we’d been there for an hour and didn’t even have drinks, and hadn’t seen the waiter come by again. I started looking for a manager. LadyMoonglo went to the bathroom. Then, because I can’t have a coherent dream, a tornado came down a nearby mountain and missed the restaurant, though we were all kind of worried. It was now 10:45 PM and still daylight out, and I was /livid/ that we didn’t have our chili feet.

I found a manager, who promised us a new waiter. Then the old waiter showed up again and I yelled at him. I never got my chili feet, and I think in dream canon I missed the Twitterponies Gala because I was stuck in that restaurant.
